Doggie Daycare

South Des Moines Veterinary Center offers daycare service for your four-legged companions. Our goal is to provide a positive, safe, fun, and stimulating environment for your pet.

We are not a typical doggy daycare setting where a large number of animals are given "free roam" all day. Our daycare is catered to our patients needs.

Upon arrival, your pet is given an examination by one of our veterinary technicians. We provide scheduled playtimes throughout the day, regular potty breaks outside, and several tasty treats at daycare. Our playtimes are individualized with healthcare team members. When multiple dogs are in attendance, socialization and playtime with other dogs is closely supervised and dogs are introduced to each other in a well controlled environment. Each dog will receive a daily report card to tell you about their daycare activities.

Dog Daycare is great for a new puppy to help with housetraining and socialization (with both people and other animals) and to show that the veterinary center is a safe, fun environment. It's also a great program for new patients; to help them adjust, feel comfortable, and to minimize the stress of a new environment. Even if your pet is a "regular" here and just needs a change of scenery, daycare may be right for you!
