Pet Boarding: Your Pet’s Home Away From Home

South Des Moines Veterinary Center is your pet’s home away from home. You will have peace of mind knowing your pet is entrusted to our professional veterinary health care team. Our small boarding area encourages personalized attention and allows us to focus our attention on your pet’s needs.

We strive to make your pet’s stay as comfortable and stress free as possible. Our facility offers climate-controlled indoor runs and cages. Your pet will receive a complimentary physical examination, an interactive toy, and a photo report card for you to take home. Soft, comfortable bedding and water are provided at all times. We provide treats and a premium in-house diet, but welcome you to bring your own food. Our veterinary health care team is equipped to administer medication if your pet needs it, and we have access to your pet’s medical records and can rapidly respond to any veterinary need your pet may encounter.

For the health and safety of all of the pets in our care, we do require that all vaccinations and a current fecal test be up-to-date. We require a $50 deposit for holiday boarding reservations.

Dogs are walked three times a day, except on Sunday when they are walked twice, in our fenced-in yard. Each dog is walked separately, unless directed differently by owners. Only our doggy day care pets play in a group setting. Cats are provided with beds and large litter boxes, which are replaced when soiled. After each multi-night stay, your dog will leave fresh and clean with a complimentary bath.
